The United Way of Lebanon County would like to thank
everyone involved in making this year's Kick Off Breakfast
a success!
The breakfast, which was held at the Lantern Lodge on September
4th, 2008 marked the beginning of the United Way's 77th
campaign in Lebanon County.
The event's MC was Bob Phillips and began with a presentation
by Dave Beard Productions. Highlights included musical performances
by "Letters for Lovers". The trio of Lebanon High
school graduates wrote an original tune inspired by this
year's campaign theme. Check them out at their
website.
Various members of the community got on stage to give
their personal examples of how they "LIVE UNITED"
in Lebanon County. Special speakers Dennis Bomberger announced
the generous donation of $1,200 from the Chocolate Worker
Local 464 and Stephan Vegoe, who spoke on behalf of the
Francis J. Dixon Foundation. The Foundation has offered
the United Way a matching grant of up to $50,000 dollars.
The grant matches any new donation of increase of 10% or
more on donations given last year.

The event ended with the Campaign Chair Dan Logar and Board
President Glenn Rambler revealing the 2008 Campaign Goal:
$2,050,000. This goal is a $50,000 increase from last year's
goal. In Dan Logar's closing remarks he thanked the companies,
agencies, sponsors and volunteers who help to make this
year's campaign a success.
After the Breakfast, staff and board members continued
the Kick Off Celebration at the Lebanon Farmer's Market.
This event was held thanks to the generosity of Corporate
Sponsors:
