Our Annual Giving Campaign kicked off on September 12th at the Lebanon Country Club highlighting our goal to raise $1,000,000. Campaign Chairman and Board President, Dan Ehrgood, announced that the campaign has already raised $157,201 toward that goal. The kick-off was attended by local leaders including state Senator Chris Gebhard, all three Lebanon County Commissioners, individual donors, and representatives of businesses that contribute to the campaign. Communities in Schools Pennsylvania (CISPA) coordinator Guillermo Barrosa, who works with students at Lebanon Middle School, spoke at the kick-off about the importance of family support and engagement. "Our students every day face many educational barriers,” said Barrosa. “You’re talking about not only your side of the classroom, but at home — hunger, poverty, family crises, low self-esteem, medical problems, violence, alcohol, and drugs.” The CISPA program utilizes school-based workers inside schools to help students with academic and non-academic needs, in partnership with parents and teachers. CISPA is one of the Signature Service Programs that is funded by the United Way through the Annual Giving Campaign. The Annual Giving Campaign runs from September 2024 until June of 2025. Money raised through the campaign funds our Signature Service Programs and community impact grants to non-profit organizations in Lebanon County.
