Day of Caring History
United Way of Lebanon County's Day of Caring started in 1996 to promote the spirit and value of volunteerism, increase the awareness of local human service organizations, and demonstrate all that can be accomplished when the community works together.
Day of Caring is a yearly event that takes place in April and provides the community with the opportunity to be part of what United Way of Lebanon County does all year long - mobilize people and resources to build stronger communities by partnering with non-profits, individuals, and companies to meet community needs.
To celebrate the 25th Day of Caring, over 500 volunteers took part in more than 50 projects, with the volunteer’s service in the 2022 United Way Day of Caring being valued at over $37,000.
